Pilates

Whether you’re a complete beginner or improver, looking to shape up for or after a pregnancy or perhaps you’re a sportsperson with a nagging injury, you can benefit from a tailored approach to Pilates. Created by Joseph Pilates and developed by a wealth of teachers who followed, the gentle but demanding practice of Pilates can improve your strength, flexibility, stamina and balance. Muscles lengthen as they move in co-ordination and synchronisation with your breathing. The distractions of your day to day fade as you learn to control each precise movement.

Want a class after work?

I teach on Monday evenings, near Waterloo/Waterloo East stations. We’re a mixed class of ages, genders and abilities – in common, we share an hour of considered workout and a few physical challenges mixed with some laughter.

Pilates in the Park – let’s go outside!

Having taught matwork and standing Pilates since 2008, I have a real energy for helping you progress towards Joseph Pilates’ “Superbody” and “Powerhouse” of core strength. I am a REPS member (check their Member Directory) as a Level 3 Advanced Pilates Instructor (City Lit London) and a Standing Pilates Instructor (PhysicalMind Institute New York) plus a Pilates in Pregnancy specialist (Allan Menezes, Pilates Institute Australia).
